What this covers

Traffic and conversion figures for your storefront, measured without a cookie, a tracking script or a third party in the middle.

How it works in ELVPro

Nothing is written to the visitor's device

No cookie, no local storage, no fingerprinting script. The page view is recorded by the server as the page is served.

A visitor identifier that cannot follow anyone

It is a hash of a random daily salt, the IP address, the browser's user agent and your yard id. The salt is regenerated every 24 hours, so the same person becomes a different, unlinkable identifier tomorrow.

The IP address is an input, never a record

It goes into the hash and is discarded — it is not stored on the page view.

Sessions without session tokens

A "visit" is that hash bucketed into a 30-minute window; nothing is issued to the browser, and nothing needs to be kept to recognise it.

Aggregated, then aged out

Raw views are rolled up nightly into daily aggregates, and the raw rows do not accumulate indefinitely.

Third-party tags stay opt-in

If you do want Google Analytics or an advertising pixel, you enable it yourself from a curated list — and it is consent-gated, staying silent until the visitor agrees.

When it happens

When this runs, and what it does
When What happens
On each storefront page view recorded server-side.
Every 24 hours the salt rotates, breaking any link between yesterday's visitors and today's.
Nightly the roll-up into daily aggregates.
Only after consent any third-party tag you have chosen to enable.

Why it matters

Ordinary web analytics puts an identifier on someone's device and hands their behaviour to a third party — which is exactly what needs consent, and exactly what most visitors now decline, leaving you with figures for a fraction of your traffic. Because nothing is stored on the device and the identifier is pseudonymous and short-lived, your own numbers keep working whether or not a visitor accepts tracking.
